Tactical tank combat
Armour, impact angle and penetration are calculated for real. Shallow hits bounce off – aim for the sides, the rear, the legs and the glowing cores of the mechs.
The aliens have landed. Take command of a main battle tank and hold the line – wave after wave.
Note: MIRONA is played with mouse and keyboard and runs on a PC or laptop only, not on a smartphone or tablet.
A crashed alien ship, shot-up villages, violet biomass eating its way across the fields – and combat mechs stomping in from every direction. You drive your tank from a third-person view, take cover behind hills and houses and decide which shot counts.
Armour, impact angle and penetration are calculated for real. Shallow hits bounce off – aim for the sides, the rear, the legs and the glowing cores of the mechs.
Attacks come from two or three directions at once, scouts outflank you, marksmen take aim from afar. A boss waits every fifth wave – and in wave 15, the Moloch.
Your ally “Granit” fights on your flank on its own: it looks for cover, angles its armour, dodges mortar fire and keeps you posted over the radio.

Both tanks of the MIRONA forces can be selected in the main menu. The bars show their base values – upgrades improve them as the game goes on.
Sturdy cast turret, short reload, plenty of hit points. The Amboss takes a beating and hits back fast – but it is less accurate on the move.
Fast and modern: the stabilised gun hits even at full speed, and the turret carries wedge armour. In return, the Nordlicht is slower to reload.
Every mech has a strong front, weaker sides and glowing cores. Leg hits cripple it. From the warrior upwards, they all carry an energy barrier that soaks up one to three shells and slowly recharges.
Nimble and travels in packs. Some scouts go around you and hit your side or rear. The machine gun is your best weapon here.
At medium range it fires heavy plasma balls, at long range seven-shot laser bursts – the pink charge-up is your warning.
Hangs back and charges a violet beam that punches through your hull. Its close-range weapon is weak and its armour thin – take cover, turn your turret towards it, then close in.
Slow, but with a thick front and a strong barrier. Its shells explode on impact – keep moving.
Fires in a high arc, even without line of sight. A ring on the ground shows where the shell will land.
A walking bunker with a main gun and a volley weapon. It calls in scouts as reinforcements – aim for its glowing cores.
A massive energy shield makes it invulnerable until both shield generators are destroyed. On top of that: artillery volleys and warriors as reinforcements.
A siege gun on four legs. Its beam lance visibly charges for a good two seconds and then punches through almost anything – break the line of sight. It calls in marksmen as reinforcements.

After every wave you survive, your tank is repaired and you pick one improvement to build on – all the way to the maximum level.

The game picks the language of your browser. You can switch at any time in the top right corner of the main menu – Deutsch or English. Your choice is remembered.
Browsers only allow sound after the first click – click once into the menu. Also check that the sound has not been muted with M and that the browser tab itself is not muted (speaker icon on the tab).
Click into the game view and the mouse is captured. Esc releases it and opens the pause menu; “Resume” takes you back into battle.
Use F2 to pick a lower graphics level and close other demanding tabs. Hardware acceleration should be switched on in your browser. F3 shows you the frames per second.
Your record, your player name, your language, your tank and your graphics level are stored only locally in your browser – there is no account. The only thing sent to our server is your run for the worldwide leaderboard, and you can switch that off.
Enter your player name at the top of the main menu – a nickname is best. After every game, your score, the wave you reached and the date are sent to the worldwide leaderboard, and you see straight away which rank you landed on. You can open the list from the main menu, the pause menu or right after the game ends. If you would rather not send anything, you can switch it off there with one click.
