3. General information and mandatory disclosures

Data protection

The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy. Please note that data transmitted over the internet (e.g. by email) may be subject to security gaps; complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

The party responsible for data processing on this website is:

Sebastian Zimprich
Allee 20
74744 Ahorn, Germany
Phone: +49 160 1260539
Email: info@mirona-tank-commander.com

The controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data.

Storage period

Unless a more specific storage period is stated in this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose of the data processing no longer applies. If you make a justified request for deletion or withdraw your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing it; in that case, it will be deleted once those reasons no longer apply.

Legal bases for data processing

If you have consented to data processing, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Processing may also be based on our legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. For technically necessary storage on your device, § 25 (2) TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act) also applies. The following sections explain the legal basis that applies in each case.

Withdrawing your consent

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can withdraw consent you have already given at any time. The lawfulness of the processing carried out until the withdrawal remains unaffected.

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)

If data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. If you object, we will no longer process the personal data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

In the event of breaches of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of their habitual residence, their place of work or the place of the alleged breach. This right exists without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedies.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done where technically feasible.

Access, rectification and erasure

Within the scope of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing, and, where applicable, a right to rectification or erasure of this data. You can contact us at any time about this and any other questions.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted, in particular if you dispute the accuracy of the data (for the duration of the review), if the processing was unlawful, if you need the data to assert legal claims, or if a balancing of interests following an objection under Art. 21 GDPR is still pending. Apart from being stored, restricted data may only be processed under narrow legal conditions.

SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the address bar of your browser changing from “http://” to “https://” and by the padlock symbol in your browser bar.

Objection to advertising emails

We hereby object to the use of the contact details published under the imprint obligation for sending unsolicited advertising and information material. The operators of these pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising, such as spam emails.

4. Data collected on this website

Server log files

The provider of these pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits to us automatically. These are: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request and IP address. This data is not combined with other data sources. It is collected on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR – we have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of our website.

Cookies

This website and the game do not use cookies.

Storage in your browser while playing

When you play “MIRONA – Tank Commander”, the game stores your settings (language, graphics level and selected tank), your personal record (score and wave reached), the player name you entered yourself and your choice of whether runs may be submitted to the worldwide leaderboard locally in your browser’s storage (IndexedDB), so that they are available again the next time you play. You are free to choose any player name; please do not enter anything you would not want stored. This data does not leave your device; it is only transmitted to us if you leave the worldwide leaderboard switched on – see the following section. Storage is based on § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG (strictly necessary for the service you requested) and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. You can delete this data at any time by removing the site data for this website in your browser.

Worldwide leaderboard

When you finish a run, the game transmits the player name you chose and the values of that run (score, wave reached, kills, playing time, accuracy, selected tank, game version and time) to our server so that the worldwide leaderboard can be displayed. Name, score, wave and date are visible there to all players. A real name is neither necessary nor wanted – please choose a nickname.

For each entry, we also store a hash of your IP address salted with a random value, solely to limit automated entries and spam. The IP address itself is not stored, and the hash is deleted after seven days.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in operating a working leaderboard. You can switch the transmission off at any time: in the game under “Leaderboard” with the switch “Submit my runs”. After that, no data leaves your computer. On request, we will delete your entries – just write to us at the address given in the imprint, stating your player name and the approximate time.

Enquiries by email or phone

If you contact us by email or phone, your enquiry, including all personal data arising from it (name, enquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass this data on without your consent. Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in handling the enquiries addressed to us) or Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR if consent was requested. The data remains with us until you ask us to delete it or the purpose for storing it no longer applies; mandatory statutory provisions remain unaffected.
